Columbus Signature Academy - Fodrea Campus

My name is Nicholas Kohne, and I am the music facilitator at CSA Fodrea and CSA Lincoln.  In 2008, I graduated from Cedarville University with a Bachelor of Music Education.  It was in 2012 that I started teaching at CSA.  At CSA, I teach general music to all students from kindergarten to 6^th grade as well as an after school 4^th-6^th grade choir and drama club for 3^rd-6^th grade.  I regularly volunteer with the Columbus Indiana Children’s Choir including being on the teaching staff for the Columbus Indiana Children’s Choir and Indianapolis Children’s Choir Summer Festivals.  I serve as the area 8 elementary coordinator for the IMEA Circle the State with Song.  I am an alumnus of the Indianapolis Children’s Choir and currently sing with the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir.  In 2012, I had the opportunity to be in the cast of the Super Bowl XLVI Half Time Show in Indianapolis.

Outside of music, I have served as a camp counselor at Camp Wesley where I celebrated 10 summers, teach 3^rd grade at Community Church of Greenwood where I am a member, and am a train conductor for the Indiana Transportation Museum.

My professional memberships include the National Association for Music Education, Indiana Music Education Association, American Choral Director’s Association, Indiana Choral Director’s Association, and Feierabend Association for Music Education.
