Strengths and Supports of BCSC Youth

In January 2018, Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp surveyed of 4384 youth, or approximately 72% of the school population in grades sixth through twelfth in Columbus, IN, using Search Institute’s survey, Developmental Assets Profile. This survey focuses on understanding the strengths and supports (or “Developmental Assets”) that young people experience in their lives. Extensive research has shown that having these assets in their lives helps young people make positive life choices.  Some key findings from this survey are shown below.
