    Mrs. Keele (4th grade)

    Mrs. Keele transitioned into teaching after originally earning her bachelor's degree in management from Purdue University.  Prior to teaching in the Academic Challenge program, Mrs. Keele was a 1st grade teacher at Southside and was even an AC student herself many moons ago.  She earned her high ability license from Ball State University in 2010 and completed her master's degree in May 2013.  She also serves as a high ability mentor for BCSC and as Southside's Math Bowl coach.

    She has been married to her husband Seth, a former Southside Mustang, for over 20 years, and they have three wonderful sons.  Graham is a junior at Columbus North H.S., and Flynn is an 8th grader at Central Middle School.  Last but not least, Boden is 4 years old and attends Learning Tree Preschool.  As a family, they love to read, play games, and spend time outdoors hiking or biking.  Mrs. Keele also loves to watch her boys play soccer.  As a teacher, she loves being able to instill her passion for learning in her students!

    Miss Kahlenbeck (5th grade)
     
    Miss Kahlenbeck recently joined the Southside teaching staff on the Academic Challenge (AC) Team.  Miss Kahlenbeck holds a teaching and high ability license from Manchester University and taught 6th grade at Schmitt Elementary prior to coming to Southside.  Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, participating in triathlons, playing volleyball, and watching professional tennis.  She also likes technology, ice cream, and spending time with friends. 
     
     

    Mrs. White (6th grade)

    This is Mrs. White's 3rd year as the 6th grade AC teacher at Southside.  Before coming to Southside, she taught middle school mathematics for 17 years.  Mrs. White attended Eastern Illinois University where she earned her degree in Elementary Education and also earned an endorsement in middle school mathematics.  In 2002, she received her Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana Wesleyan University. 
     
    Her husband, Brett, teaches math at North High School.  He is also the assistant girl's golf coach and an assistant for the girl's basketball team. Together they have two daughters, Madison (age 15) and Kaitlin (age 12).  Mrs. White enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.  She also loves to play and watch basketball and volleyball in her spare time.
