Spell Bowl

SPELLBOWL runs from August-November. Students in grades 5 and 6 are invited to try out by taking a 100-150 word test over words taken from the official Spellbowl list of 750 words. The word list is made available in May and it is also offered again at the beginning of school. The competition is a regional meet with scores then being sent to the state level to determine placement overall.

Visit www.spellingcity.com   You will see the Spelling City page. Find the search icon (magnifying glass) in the dark blue banner across the top. Click on that icon and search for teacher name.  Type in Edie Logston.  Click the BOTTOM name:  Edie Logston (there are 3)  You will see the spelling words listed in groups of 25.  The name of the list will look something like 'SB2019 1-25'.  Take any of these practice tests anytime you would like, as often as you wish.  It might also be a good idea to practice writing them, as the test will require hand written answers.
