    New Student Enrollment Information
     

    All new students must enroll through the Dean’s office at Columbus East High School.  Parents may call the school’s main office at (812) 376-4370 or (812) 376-4369 to schedule an appointment.

     

    General Rules for Enrollment

     

    • Only students residing with a parent or guardian who are over 18 years of age or declared emancipated and living in the East High School district will be eligible to enroll.

    • All students new to the corporation must enroll in time to meet state credit requirements.

    • Students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to enroll.

    • Proof of residency is required at the time of enrollment.  Proof of residency may be a rental receipt, utility bill, lease/sales agreement, or property tax form.

    • A dean must approve any student who has dropped out of school or is over 18 years of age before the student will be allowed to enroll.

    • A copy of a birth certificate must be provided within 30 days of enrollment.

    • Immunization records must be provided within 30 days of enrollment.

    • Students new to the school corporation should provide a transcript or grade report from the school they are transferring from.

    • Students new to the corporation should provide proof that they have officially withdrawn from the school they are transferring from.

    • A student living in the Columbus North school district who would like to attend Columbus East must have a Transfer Request Form approved by both building principals.  The transfer request form must originate at Columbus North.

    • Student athletes transferring from other schools must complete an IHSAA Athletic Transfer Report if they intend to participate in athletics at Columbus East.
