Columbus East High School

During the junior year, students will once again explore career options and begin planning beyond high school.  The Milestone, an in-depth parent, student, and counselor conference, focuses on the college selection process, college entrance examinations, financial aid, military opportunities, technical training options, school-to-work options, employment opportunities, and other post high school options. It is the objective of the Milestone to make sure students have a strategic plan for after high school and to assist them in their preparations. The Milestone is an attempt to prevent students from getting lost in the cracks during high school. Students will also be encouraged to explore topics for their senior capstone experience.
