    Welcome to Columbus North High School for the 2017 - 2018 school year!  I am excited for another great year at North and am looking forward to getting to know all of my students and working once again with a great Business Department at CNHS!
     
    About Me
     
    I am currently in my 12th year of teaching, 9th year being a part of Columbus North High School.  I am looking forward to another great year as a Bull Dog!  I am also looking forward to taking on the challenges and obstacles that each new year brings!
     
    I completed my undergraduate course work in Business Administration and Business Education at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN - GO SYCAMORES!  In August of 2011, I completed my Masters in Business Management through Indiana Wesleyan University.   I really enjoy studying and learning more about the Business World!
     
    Professionally, I began working as a Claims Representative with Progressive Insurance in Indianapolis, IN.  However, I quickly realized that I had a passion for working with young people and decided to be a teacher as I had originally planned.  I am very fortunate for my experience at Progressive Insurance because it gave me real world experience that I can bring to my students in the classroom.   At CNHS I am in my second year leading the Distributive Education Club of America (DECA).  DECA is a business club that 30 students at Columbus North High School compete in through regional, state, and worldwide competition.  It is a GREAT club for students with a passion for Business to get involved in!
     
    Personally, I am married to my wife Brooklein, who works as a Registered Nurse.  My wife and I are both big sports fans and we like to follow the Chicago Cubs, Indiana Hoosiers, and Indianapolis Colts.  We enjoy traveling and going to sporting events in some of our free time.
