Welcome to Laszlo Szarvas - Science!
About me-
It is a great feeling to be a part of the Bull Dog Nation. This school year I will be teaching Biology I. My career began in 1981 by teaching Biology back in Hungary. After seven years of teaching I left the Communist Hungary behind. In 1987 my gymnastics team won the Hungarian national team title in a junior school division. By the time we got home from the competition they took my team from me and gave it to a coach who was a Communist party member. So I decided to leave Hungary and left my mom and friends behind. At age thirty I was facing the hardest part of my life, learn a new language, learn a new life, adapt to a new culture. After taking some odd jobs I opened my own business, a gymnastics school. I owned this school for eighteen years. I had several regional, state champions and gymnast who got full scholarships to different universities. Nine years ago I started teaching again, this is my seventh year teaching at CNHS. Coaching gymnastics is still my hobby. Below on the picture is Jacob Olds one of our level 10 gymnast performing a full twisting Cukahara vault you might feel like this at the beginning of the year but I promise you if you listen you will land on your feet by the end
of the year.
I am a graduate of the University Of Szeged Teachers College majored in Biology and Physical education in 1981, also Graduated from the University of Physical Education in Budapest, 1978 with a Gymnastics Coaching Degree, and earned my Master's degree in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2004.
