Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!  The summer break flew by but I hope you enjoyed it and are ready to begin a new year.  Have you heard about initiatives like It's Learning, UDL (Universal Design for Learning)?  Are you bringing a GROWTH or FIXED mindset to the classroom?  How about MAVERICK CHALLENGE (the Business Planning Competition)? $$$$  Expect to learn and hear more as we begin another school year together. This year will be filled with many opportunities and choices.  Persist, keep an open mind and SMILE. (=   A pleasant attitude can help overcome any obstacle.  It is an honor and privilege to know and work with the students and staff at CNHS.

    About me:

This is my 15th year of teaching, my 14th year at North High School.  Every year brings BIG challenges for me as continually learn and improve my teaching methods.  I strive to continually improve the activities and projects to maintain rigorous and engaging work.

My undergraduate work was completed at IUPUC through the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.  In May 2008, I completed my Masters of Secondary Education at Indiana University, Bloomington and my MBA in Summer 2010.   I am a lifelong learner.

Professionally, I have worked in a variety of industries and positions such as human resources, mortgage banking, student loan finance and manufacturing.  Because of my background and education, I am able to bring real-world experience to the classroom.  At CNHS, I am the Business Department Coordinator and serve as a CEA building representative.  In the community, I am currently President of my sorority, Kappa Kappa Kappa, and an advocate and fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association.

Personally, I lived in Indianapolis for a brief period of time but have been a part of this community my entire my life.  I am deeply committed to my family, community and school.
