    About Mr. Hurst

    Although this is my first year at Northside, 2019-2020 will be my eighth school year as an educator and my fourth year teaching 8th grade language arts.  As a 2004 graduate of Columbus East High School, I have lived in this community for most of my life.  I am very excited to finally give back to the city that has given me so much over the years.  Throughout this course, we will read and analyze a variety of fiction texts, navigating through the various worldviews, experiences, and conflicts of different characters.  Students will also be exposed to several non-fiction texts that will help shine a light on the current events that are shaping our world, nation, state, and local community.  

    Where do I find...?: 

    All homework will be posted to the Team Veritas homework document by the end of the school day on which it is assigned. (See link above)
