       Hello! My name is Mrs. Knight and this is my 16th year at Northside and my 29th year teaching. Currently, I have the privilege of teaching Pre-Algebra and Algebra on the Veritas team. Before that, I taught many different levels and types of math here at Northside.  I LOVE math. After this year, I am sure you will share my enthusiasm for the power of math in our world.
       The word veritas means 'truth'. So guess what? This year you will learn the truth about math. I believe each and every student CAN learn math and BE SUCCESSFUL ...and that IS the truth. We will work hard together and you can see for yourself.  I am looking forward to showing you how mathematics are applied in the everyday world.  One of my favorite phrases is .. LOOK .. there is MATH in action !!  My NUMBER 1 goal is for you to believe this TRUTH .... EVERY DAY IS FUN IN MRS. KNIGHT'S CLASS !!!  If you know any of my former students, ask them if MATH in my class is fun !!! My former students also like to refer to me as Mama Knight, so I consider myself fortunate to have the opportunity to touch the lives of all of my kiddos !!  In addition to my kiddos at school, my husband and I are blessed to have 12 daughters (5 of our own and 7 bonus daughters), 3 son-in-laws, and 5 amazing grandchildren !!  :-)
