• The 2000's
    After the turn of the century, North Drama began using two different directors.  Julie Calfee and John Johnson shared in the directing of the two mainstage shows.  They would alternate who would direct the straight play and the musical every year.
     
    Thespian Troupe #57 grew by leaps and bounds in this decade.  This was due in large part by the advent of the day-long theatre festival.  The Thespians staged several of these 9am to 9pm theatre events.  These normally included 3 full length plays, several ten minute plays and a one act.  Since these events were almost entirely student-directed, -designed and -produced, the need for student actors was heightened.  Following each event a larger group of students with enough points to be initiated into the troupe was created.
