• The 1970's

Once a new high school opened across town, and Columbus High School became two, North Drama was born and became a program on the move.  Literally.  They were performing plays wherever they could:  Memorial Gym, Room 109, the cafeteria, or even East High School.

The new auditorium at East created an actual theatre space for a North show to be produced.  However, this was enemy territory.  Fortunately, a strong friendship developed between T. Joe Tower at North and Ray LeBlanc, the theatre coach at East High School.  The large North musicals were produced there until North opened its own auditorium in the next decade.
