The 1970's
Once a new high school opened across town, and Columbus High School became two, North Drama was born and became a program on the move. Literally. They were performing plays wherever they could: Memorial Gym, Room 109, the cafeteria, or even East High School. The new auditorium at East created an actual theatre space for a North show to be produced. However, this was enemy territory. Fortunately, a strong friendship developed between T. Joe Tower at North and Ray LeBlanc, the theatre coach at East High School. The large North musicals were produced there until North opened its own auditorium in the next decade.1979-1980Anything Goes1978-1979Funny Girl1977-1978Arsenic and Old Lace, Can Can1976-1977The Importance of Being Earnest, The Pajama Game1975-1976The American Dream/The Zoo Story, How to Succeed in Business WithoutReally Trying1974-1975Member of the Wedding, Guys and Dolls1973-1974The Skin of Our Teeth, Hello Dolly!, The Sandbox1972-1973Mame1971-1972My Fair Lady1970- 1971Finnian's Rainbow1969-1970ImpromptuVisit other North Drama ErasWe have incomplete information for some of these years and shows.
